Earlier this week, the Prairie du Chien city council again discussed the issue of reducing it’s size. Alderman Kyle Kozelka brought up the discussion at Tuesday’s meeting pointing out that voters in the city approved by nearly a 2-1 margin he idea of reducing the council size in an advisory referendum in 2011.
After the referrendum, the council held a vote on reducing the council size…but that failed on a 5-4 vote.
Some council members disagree with reducing the size, including Alderman Frank Pintz.
Ultimately, Tuesday the council decided to table further discussion and a decision until a later date.
