The U.S. Bobsled & Skeleton Federation (USBSF) today announced that Prairie du Chien native Matt Antoine and two other men will represent the United States in the men’s skeleton events at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
The Olympic skeleton events will be held in a four-heat format over two days of racing. The men will compete Feb. 14-15.
In a teleconference today, Antoine said he’s gotten a lot of great support from everyone back home in Wisconsin. “I’ve been getting a lot of love from everyone on Twitter, Facebook and everywhere else,” he said, “Everyone’s excited and I’m just excited for the next few weeks.”
