Four people from Boscobel have been arrested after a yearlong investigation by the Boscobel Police, Richland Iowa Grant Drug Task Force, and the Department of Justice.
Facing federal indictments are Craig D. Bellis (age 33), Mary E. Grant (age 63), Brent “Tony” Venglish (age 46), and Thomas Kussmaul (age 24) of Boscobel for Distribution of a controlled substance, morphine.
This comes a year after the January 13, 2013 death of Jordan Faulkner, age 18 of Boscobel. An autopsy revealed that Jordan died of a Morphine overdose.
Grant, Venglish, and Kussmaul were arrested on January 9th and transported to the US Marshall’s office in Madison to await their initial appearance. Bellis is currently in the Grant County Jail on unrelated charges.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Department says this is an ongoing investigation with more charges expected.
