1. Erin Adrian (River Ridge High School) Erin helped the Timberwolves softball team to a pair of wins in their opening week of action. On Thursday night against Darlington, Erin went 2 for 3 at the plate with two doubles, scoring twice, and had 1 RBI while recording 7 strikeouts in the circle on the way to an 11-1 win. The following night against De Soto, Erin scored three runs going 3 for 4 at the plate, which included two home runs and she struck out 16 batters in the circle to help the Timberwolves to a 7-4 win.
2. Kayahna Furrer (Fennimore High School) Kayahna and the Golden Eagles picked up three wins last week to open their season. In their first game, they defeated Pecatonica 7-0. Kayahna went 2-4 at the plate with a HR and 3 RBIs. In the circle, she got the win with 17 strikeouts. On Thursday the Golden Eagles beat Highland 4-3. Kayahna went 1-2 at the plate and picked up another victory inside the circle with 10 strikeouts. To finish up the week Fennimore defeated Reedsburg 9-7. Kayahna went 2-4 with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs. Inside the circle, she pitched 5 innings and collected 9 strikeouts.
