1. Mayleigh Medberry (Central Elkader High School) Mayleigh continued her great season on the mat last week by picking up her 100th career win and earning 1st place at a tournament. On Tuesday night the Warriors competed at the NHTV Dual Tournament. Mayleigh went 3-1 and picked up her 100th career victory. Then on Friday, the Warriors went to the Postville Girls Round Robin Tournament. Mayleigh went 5-0 getting 3 wins by fall and 2 wins by TF. Mayleigh earned 1st place in her weight class.
2. Andrew Munson (North Crawford High School) Andrew helped the Trojans pick up a big conference win last week and scored his 1,000th career point. On Tuesday night Andrew had 19 points and 9 rebounds to help the Trojans defeat De Soto 68-48. Then on Friday, the Trojans played St. Ambrose Academy at the Midwest Players Classic in La Crosse. Andrew had 12 points to help the Trojans win 68-54.
3. Parker Kuehl (MFL MarMac High School) Parker and the Bulldogs picked up 3 wins last week to help them keep pace in the Upper Iowa Conference. The Bulldogs’ first win of the week came against Turkey Valley. Parker had 18 points and 7 rebounds to help the Bulldogs win 68-47. Next, they defeated Clayton Ridge 70-34. Parker scored 24 points and secured 9 rebounds in the win. In the Bulldogs’ final game of the week, they beat Charles City 75-65 at the UIU Shootout at Upper Iowa University. Parker scored 13 points and had 9 rebounds and 7 assists to help the Bulldogs.
