Pair of Separate Methamphetamine Arrests in Crawford County

On Friday, October 13th, 2023, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources conducted a traffic stop in the Township of Bridgeport. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Geramia Swadley (42) of Soldiers Grove, and his passengers were identified as Jourdan Womack (27) of Platteville, and her three-year-old child.
Swadley and Womack exhibited indicators of drug impairment, and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit (Diego) responded to the stop and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following was discovered, methamphetamine, hypodermic needle containing liquid methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Swadley was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating after revocation, possession of THC, felony bail jumping, and an active warrant for his arrest.

Womack was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of child neglect and resisting arrest. After being taken into custody, law enforcement personnel discovered that she was concealing methamphetamine on her person, and she was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Crawford County Department of Health & Human Services personnel responded and took custody of the child. Also, the Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Prairie du Chien Police Department, and Milo’s Towing Service.

On Monday, October 2nd, 2023, at approximately 6:18 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity in the Township of Freeman. Law enforcement personnel responded to the area and initiated contact with Heather Christopherson (45) of Elroy, Wisconsin, and Susana De Herrera (44) of Las Cruces, New Mexico, on CTH B near Dolan Road. Christopherson and De Herrera were having vehicle problems.
During contact with Christopherson, law enforcement personnel observed a controlled substance in plain view on the driver’s side floor. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following was discovered, methamphetamine, methamphetamine smoking devices, and marijuana. Christopherson has been referred for charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
