March 19th, 2023 update:
Construction on Main Street in McGregor is set to begin on Monday, April 3rd however contractors will begin work in town this week, beginning Monday, March 20th on Front Street in the alley between Backwoods and Kwik Star.
The closure of Main Street will begin Monday, April 3rd however the city just learned that Portzen Construction has come up with a way to reduce the span of the Main Street closure in downtown McGregor during the interim phase of the project in an effort to allow for more accessibility through downtown and less disruption to the business district during this time. Through April & May, the road closure will now be limited to a shorter stretch of Main Street, largely in front of Kwik Star and our riverfront.
