Avelo Airlines will finally be able to fly out of the Dubuque Regional Airport. The airline announced Thursday that flights will start on March 22nd. They will operate twice weekly nonstop service between Dubuque and Orlando International Airport on Wednesdays and Sundays. Avelo was originally scheduled to start flights on January 11th, but Dubuque Regional Airport was unable to secure the necessary TSA approval of its airport security plan in time. Avelo has been temporarily operating it’s flights out of the Cedar Rapids Airport.
