A Prairie du Chien man was arrested Saturday night after police received a report of a male who appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot on Selch Avenue. While speaking to the sole occupant of the vehicle, officers observed the male to be disoriented, lethargic, and appeared to be “nodding” off throughout the interaction. K-9 Phoenix was utilized to conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle, and indicated the presence of one or more controlled substances. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, THC, and US Currency. The driver, 36 year old Kyle Vanderbilt of Prairie du Chien was placed under arrest and transported to the Crawford County Jail after being evaluated at Crossing Rivers Hospital. Vanderbilt has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance 6th Offense, Operating After Revocation Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
