A Waukon, Iowa man was sentenced Thursday in US District Court for his part in significant amounts of methamphetamine being brought into Southwestern Wisconsin. 39 year old Dillan Boydston was sentenced to 84 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Boydston pleaded guilty to the charge on July 20th.
During the course of a long-term, multi-agency investigation, law enforcement officers obtained evidence that Christopher Fernette, Carl Rabe, and Boydston distributed significant amounts of methamphetamine in western Wisconsin. Fernette was sentenced to 10 years in prison in June, and Rabe was sentenced to 96 months in July. Another person involved in the case, Pa Yang of Minnesota, is scheduled to be sentenced on November 17th.
The charges against Boydston, Fernette, Rabe, and Yang were the result of an investigation conducted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Prairie du Chien Police Department, Richland-Iowa-Grant Task Force, Dakota County (Minnesota) Drug Task Force, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation. Prairie du Chien Police Chief Kyle Teynor said in the press release that “the commitment of (law enforcement) working together to hold those responsible that prey on those suffering from addiction will not waiver.”
