Two men were arrested in Clayton County after the Sheriff’s Department received a complaint of a vehicle driving all over the road and nearly causing an accident on Highway 13 near Elkader. The incident happened on September 18th. Deputies pulled the vehicle over on Highway 13 near 190th Street. It was determined that the vehicle had mechanical issues which caused the driver, 38 year old Daniel Ohara of Waterloo to drive erratically. During the traffic stop, a passenger in the vehicle, 24 year old Patrick Tesar of Prairie du Chien made several furtive movements and a consent search of his belongings turned up several pieces of drug paraphernalia. Ohara was arrested for driving while license suspended and Tesar was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Clayton County Jail.
A deputy also arrested a Decorah man on September 14th. During a traffic stop on 27 year old Brandon Nordschow the deputy located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Nordschow was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense and was taken to the Clayton County Jail.
