The Prairie du Chien Parks and Rec Department has some fun fishing events coming up in July. Family Fishing Fun Nights will be held every Tuesday in July from 5pm to 6:30pm starting Tuesday, July 5th at the Washington Street Park in Prairie du Chien Bait, Polls, and fishing assistance will be provided. The Annual Charlie Everts Memorial Youth Fishing Tournament will be held Sunday, July 10th at the Washington Street Park Shelter (across from the boat harbor). Open to Youth ages 17 and under. Age groups are 7 and under; 8 to 11; and 12 to 17. There is no entry fee. Registration will be from 4:30 to 5:00 pm. The Derby will run from 5 to 6:30. They will have prizes, hot dogs, chips, and beverages afterwards for the participants. Poles and bait will be provided, but you may still bring your own.
