On 1-12-25, at approximately 12:40AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 200 2nd St. SE Oelwein IA. During a search illegal substances and items were found and seized. Kolten Michael Maakestad, 24 of Oelwein IA, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense-Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Caleb James Gildard, 32 of Oelwein, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Both Gildard and Maakestad were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where they awaited initial appearance.
