On Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a female passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the Township of Bridgeport. Law enforcement personnel arrived and identified two occupants in the vehicle, Stacy Conner (38) of Gays Mills, Wisconsin, and Edward Lemay (39) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Conner was passed out in the driver’s seat holding a hypodermic needle and a small baggie of fentanyl. Lemay was passed out in the passenger’s seat.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Prairie du Chien Police Department K9 Phoenix. K9 Phoenix was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and numerous items of evidentiary value were discovered, baggies of fentanyl and items of drug paraphernalia.
Conner was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (2nd Offense), possession of a schedule II narcotic (Fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation. Lemay was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of a schedule II narcotic (Fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail-jumping.
