Search Leads to Arrest of Two People in Gays Mills

On Monday, September 9th, 2024, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office initiated contact with David Heisz (42) and Anastaisa Anderson (29) at their residence of 306 Grove Street in the Village of Gays Mills. Law enforcement personnel conducted a search of the residence and vehicles for illegal narcotics under the guidelines of Wisconsin ACT 79. As a result of the search, numerous items of evidentiary value were discovered, methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, and a controlled substance.

Heisz was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule II-controlled substance, neglecting a child, and probation violation. Anderson was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule II-controlled substance, and neglecting a child.
