Construction Set to Begin on HWY 35 Monday, April 28th

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $12 million contract to resurface WIS 35 between County N in Prairie du Chien and County E in Ferryville, Crawford County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin on April 28.

Iverson Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve pavement conditions, rehabilitate bridges and culverts along WIS 35 between County N and County E.

Construction will be completed in stages.

  • Stage 1: April to late October 2025
    • Motorists can expect WIS 35 to be closed and detoured utilizing WIS 27 and WIS 171.
  • Stage 2: May to July 2026
    • Motorists can expect WIS 35 to remain open to traffic under flagging operations.

Project completion is scheduled for July 2026. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
