
On Monday April 7, 2025 the Prairie du Chien Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the 1800 block of South Marquette Road for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop a rear seat passenger identified himself at “Alan Hagensick.” A records check revealed that “Alan Hangensick” had an active arrest warrant out of Crawford County. This passenger was arrested for the warrant. After the arrest, the passenger revealed that he lied about his identity. He told the arresting officers that he was Anthony Hagensick. A records check for Anthony revealed that Anthony had active arrest warrants from LaFayette County.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Prairie du Chien Police Department conducted a search warrant located on the 500 block of N. Marquette Road. During the search, law enforcement located methamphetamine, marijuana and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the search warrant evidence was gathered that supported further criminal charges for Anthony P. Hagensick, age 43, of Prairie du Chien. Hagensick was already placed in the Crawford County Jail for violations of Obstruction, Bail Jumping, and the active warrant through Lafayette County, WI. Additional charges were referred to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (10-50g), Possession of THC with Intent to Deliver (<200g) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
This case is ongoing and further criminal charges may be referred to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office.
