On Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, at approximately 9:12 p.m., Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle traveling north on WI-STH 35. During the traffic stop, Prairie du Chien Police Department K9 Shiesty was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle ensued, and two glass smoking devices and methamphetamine were discovered. Further investigation determined that the paraphernalia and methamphetamine belonged to a passenger, Jadah Velasquez (25) of Prairie du Chien. Velasquez was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possessing methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine paraphernalia.
