
On December 22, 2024 the Waukon Police Department and Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office responded to 703 2nd Ave NW in Waukon for a report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival, 38-year-old Tory M Lessard was actively assaulting a family member. When officers attempted to stop the altercation, Tory assaulted a Waukon police officer. Lessard also threatened to kill two other officers.
Lessard was taken into custody and charged with the following:
2 counts of child endangerment (aggravated misdemeanors)
2 counts of harassment 1st degree (aggravated misdemeanors)
1 count of domestic assault (aggravated misdemeanor)
1 count of assault on persons in certain occupations (class D felony)
The Waukon Police Department was also assisted by an Iowa DNR officer.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
