A Fight In Prairie du Chien Leads To the Arrest of Two Males

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Prairie du Chien Police Officers responded to multiple reports of a male who had punched another person, went to a truck that was parked nearby, and then pointed a firearm at a group of people near the 200 block of West Blackhawk Avenue. During the course of the investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and made contact with him at a residence in Prairie du Chien.
While at the residence, K-9 Phoenix was utilized to conduct an exterior search of an area for firearm(s), ammunition, and magazines. K-9 Phoenix indicated to an area with thick vegetation near a building where Officers located an AR-15 rifle along with a loaded 45 round magazine that the suspect had tried to hide. The suspect, Gage A. Pitzer, 22, of Prairie du Chien, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Endangering Safety with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying an Unauthorized Concealed Weapon, and Obstructing an Officer.
Continuing the investigation near the 200 block of West Blackhawk Avenue, the other male party involved in the altercation was also found to have had a firearm concealed in his waistband while inside of an establishment. The suspect, Collin A. Fischer, 25, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Endangering Safety by Use of Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying a Handgun where Alcoholic beverages may be sold and consumed. Both Pitzer and Fischer were transported to the Crawford County Jail.
