Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Three in Fayette County

On October 11, 2024, at approximately 11:58 am, a Fayette County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Gold 2017 Ford F150 Supercrew truck for a traffic infraction in the 100 block of Bolger Drive in Fayette. After further investigation, an odor of Marijuana was detected and a search was conducted of the truck. Subsequently, illegal substances and items were located and seized. Kyle Arnold Larson, age 46 of Fayette, was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), and Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine 3rd Offense (D Felony). and Nicole Lynn Goldsmith, age 42 of Fayette was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine 3rd Offense (D Felony), and Aiding and abetting to a Violation of a No-Contact Order (Serious misdemeanor).

This traffic stop led to a Search Warrant at a residence in the 14,000 block of Knight Road just outside of Fayette. The residence was cleared without incident. During the execution of the search warrant, illegal substances and firearms were located and seized.  Jeffrey John Becker, age 45 of Fayette, was arrested and charged with Violation of a No-Contact Order (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor). Kyle Larson was also additionally charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), 2 Counts – Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 3rd Offense (Aggravated Misdemeanors), and Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine 3rd Offense (D Felony). Kyle Larson, Nicole Goldsmith and Jeffrey Becker were taken to the Fayette County jail and held for an initial appearance. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fayette Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol.
