Fayette County Speed Pursuit Leads to Multiple Charges Including OWI

On 8-2-24, at approximately 2:30 PM, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting an investigation in the city of Maynard.  During the investigation the deputy observed a male, who was known to the Deputy as not being valid to drive,  driving.  The suspect was directed to pull over and then fled in his vehicle. After a pursuit, Joseph Kane, 25 of Maynard, was arrested and charged with Eluding, Operating While Intoxicated, both serious misdemeanors, Violation of a No-Contact Order, Driving While License Revoked, Interference With Official Acts, and Reckless Driving, all simple misdemeanors.  Kane was taken into custody, transported to Fayette County Jail, where he was later released on a $400 bond.
