MARQUETTE, Iowa — A portion of Highway 76 is closed in northeast Iowa on Thursday due to a rockslide.
The rockslide occurred Wednesday night and damaged the pavement on the highway north of Marquette.
Iowa Department of Transportation crews are cleaning debris off the road and fixing the damage with a concrete patch.
The DOT is hoping to have the road opened to one lane by the end of the day. At that time, drivers will be assisted through the work zone with temporary traffic lights.
