Two Killed in Motorcycle Accident Outside of Boscobel

On Monday, July 22nd, 2024, at approximately 10:13 p.m., Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle crash at the intersection of STH 60 and US HWY 61 in the Township of Marietta, County of Crawford, Wisconsin.

An investigation determined that David Fillyaw (43) of Muscoda, was operating a motorcycle at an excessively high rate of speed westbound across the Wisconsin river bridge on US HWY 61 near Boscobel with his passenger Aleisha Bell (42) of Muscoda. Fillyaw traveled over the bridge, crossed both lanes of STH 60, and crashed head-on into a rock wall. Fillyaw and Bell were wearing helmets. Fillyaw and Bell were ejected from the severely damaged motorcycle sustaining life-threatening injuries. Fillyaw and Bell succumbed to those injuries, and both were pronounced dead at the scene by Crawford County Coroner Joe Morovits.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Boscobel Police Department, Boscobel Fire Department, Boscobel Rescue Squad, Steuben First Responders, Wisconsin State Patrol, Milo’s Towing Service, Crawford County Coroner, and Kendall Funeral Services.
