Search Warrants Lead to Drug Arrests in Fayette County

On July 19th, 2024, at approximately 8:00 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotic search warrant at 710 Mill St. in Clermont.  As a result of the warrant Kobe Joseph Detra, 20 of Clermont was arrested and charged with Possession of controlled substance Marijuana 1st offense, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of child endangerment. Detra was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he awaited his initial appearance and was later released on an unsecured appearance bond. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.

On 7-19-24, at approximately 11:30 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 115 Rich St. Maynard IA.  During the execution methamphetamine, marijuana, and multiple firearms were found and seized.  Joseph Glenn Kane, 25 of Maynard was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine, an aggravated misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense-Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,  serious misdemeanor.  Kane was taken into custody transported to Fayette County Jail, where he later posted a $350 bond and released.    This the 2nd narcotics search warrant Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has executed on this residence in 6 weeks.   Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office/Canine Unit.  (photo warrant)(photo Kane)
