Starting November 2023, the Monona Police Department has been investigating multiple sexual assault allegations. These investigations produced other sexual exploitations of minors and pornographic material to/from a minor.
Individuals charged as of this date:
A Monona man, 43:
• Sex Abuse 3rd Degree x2, C Felonies
• Purchase/Possess Depiction of a Minor in a Sex Act x2, D Felonies
• Telephone Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor, aggravated misdemeanor
** This case has been adjudicated with the defendant receiving a sentence of 10 years in prison and a suspended fine of $2,740. **
A rural Monona man, 41:
• Telephone Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor, aggravated misdemeanor
A Waukon man, 42:
• Telephone Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor, aggravated misdemeanor
A Monona man, 31:
• Sexual Exploitation of a Minor x2, B Felonies
• Sex Abuse 3rd Degree, C Felony

Four cases were turned over to other agencies for further investigation in other jurisdictions.
