Two Arrested in Fayette County on Methamphetamine Charges

On 5-14-24, at approximately 1:05AM, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 1st Avenue SE and Charles St.  After an investigation numerous controlled substances were found and seized.  Gregory Napier Davis, 65 of Cedar Rapids was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a class B Felony,  Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd Offense, Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense, all Class D Felonies Operating While Intoxicated,  a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Karen Sue Shelton, 59 of Cedar Rapids was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a class B Felony, Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Introducing Contraband into a facility, both D Felonies, Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense, serious misdemeanors, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.  Both Shelton and Davis were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where they currently await initial appearance.  During the traffic stop, over an ounce of methamphetamine, numerous grams of marijuana, US Currency, scales pipes and baggies were found and seized.
