On January 1st, 2024, at approximately 9:21pm the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls of an on-going Domestic assault at an address in Westgate. Once Deputies arrived it was learned that Loren Matthew Teague 43 of Westgate had committed an assault causing serious injury and prevented the victim from calling 911 for over thirty minutes. Teague was placed under arrest for Domestic Abuse Assault causing bodily injury 1st offense (Serious Misdemeanor), Willful injury-Bodily injury (Felony), and False imprisonment (Serious Misdemeanor). Teague was transported to the Fayette County Jail for his initial appearance and later bonded out. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
