On Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a male subject refusing to leave a business after being declined the sale of tobacco products because he did not have proper identification. As deputies were responding to the business in Seneca, the male subject departed in a pickup truck that deputies located unoccupied south of Seneca along STH 27. The truck was determined to have been stolen from a property in the Township of Freeman and the suspect was believed to be Colton Frazier (26) of Gays Mills. Also, Frazier had an active warrant for his arrest through Allamakee County, Iowa, for his suspected involvement in the theft of another motor vehicle. Deputies searched the area until locating Frazier walking across a field along STH 27. Frazier did not comply with verbal commands and ran into the woods. Deputies pursued and apprehended Frazier. Frazier was transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, damage to property, resisting an officer, and on the active warrant.
