Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests in Crawford County

On Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit initiated a traffic stop on a pickup truck in the City of Prairie du Chien. The operator of the truck was identified as Christopher Gossman (40) of Farmersburg, Iowa. During the stop, K9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the truck. A search of the truck was conducted, and methamphetamine and marijuana were discovered. Gossman was placed under arrest and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and felony bail jumping. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department and Milo’s Towing Service.

On Sunday, August 27th, 2023, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on STH 35 in the Township of Freeman. The operator was identified as Dorothy Olsen (38) of Blue River, Wisconsin, and her passenger was identified as Carl Lambert (60) of Viroqua, Wisconsin. During the stop, K9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia were discovered. Lambert was placed under arrest and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and a felony warrant.
