The Crawford County Emergency Management Office has successfully secured grant funding from the Region 4 Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition. The grant, amounting to approximately $10,000, is earmarked for the procurement of WISCOM-compatible radio equipment. This equipment is set to enhance the capabilities of the Crawford County Emergency Management Command Post, which is slated for significant upgrades over the forthcoming years.
The grant encompasses the provision of medical bags, equipped with essential life-saving tools, designed for use by Tactical Teams. Both the Crawford County Emergency Response Team and the Prairie du Chien Tactical Operations Team are recipients of these medical bags, each valued at an estimated $1,750.
The grant required no local matching funds, ensuring that the entire funding process was cost-neutral for both departments.
