An industrial accident has claimed the life of an employee at 3M in Prairie du Chien. Rescue personnel were called to the 3M Company Plant #50 on North Marquette Road early Tuesday morning. The Prairie du Chien Fire Department was called to utilize their extrication equipment. The victim suffered severe injuries as a result of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is being conducted by OSHA. The name of the victim will be released this afternoon.
