On Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Joshua Moeck, age 33, of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Moeck traveled into the parking lot of Nathan Plaza located in the Township of Bridgeport. Moeck parked his motorcycle and entered one of the stores appearing to attempt to avoid contact with law enforcement personnel.
Investigators entered the store and initiated contact with Moeck. He appeared nervous and displayed indicators of drug impairment. Moeck was taken into custody for operating a motorcycle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance, carrying concealed weapons, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of unprescribed prescription medication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department, Crossing Rivers Health, and Milo’s Towing Service.
