There were no injuries in two separate accidents investigated by the Crawford County Sheriff’s office over the weekend. On Sunday evening 34 year old Lindsey L. Lomas-Green of Stoddard was driving northbound on Main Street in Ferryville and reached for her phone. Her vehicle veered towards the right shoulder of the roadway, crashing into the rear end of a legally parked car which was pushed into the rear end of another car, which was pushed into the rear end of a 3rd car. All of the parked vehicles were unoccupied. Lomas-Green had three juvenile passengers in her vehicle. There were no injuries. She was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
On Saturday morning 49 year old Chad L. Thelen of Viroqua was Westbound on County Rd X in a Milk truck. Thelen was negotiating a curve when his vehicle started to slide on the wet roadway. The passenger side tires went onto the soft wet right shoulder of the roadway. Thelen was not able to get the vehicle back onto the roadway and came to rest on the right shoulder against a tree stump. Thelen was not injured and had his seatbelt on. The accident remains under Investigation.
