On Saturday, October 29, 2022, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department and Crawford County Health & Human Services are hosting “Prevention – Saves Lives” at the Gays Mills Community Commerce Center from 8:00 am to Noon.
Bring your expired and unused medication for disposal at the Drug Take Back, view Hidden in Plain Sight to see what could be hidden in your teen’s bedroom and attend a presentation at 10:00 a.m. to learn opioid facts and how NARCAN can be used as a harm reduction tool. NARCAN will also be available to participants of this presentation to take home and include in their First Aid Kit.
Prevention activities work to educate and support individuals, families, and communities. These activities are critical for maintaining both individual and community health. Disposal of unused medications, recognizing items that could be signs of substance use in your child’s room and knowing how to prevent a death by opioid overdose are all ways we can keep our families and communities safe and healthy.
